As Eliza schemed the design for her dining room, it was important to her to create several seating areas for guests to choose from; no one should feel confined to an assigned seat at a dinner party!
One of the main effects she strove for was to have the blue painted ceiling and fireplace play off of the subtle gold-flecked details within our Palms Grasscloth wallcovering in Green-Gold. This room is truly a feast for the eyes. Everywhere you look, there’s something beautiful to spark endless dinner conversation and of course a relaxed, but glamorous, atmosphere.

How to upgrade a ballroom chair!
We were inspired by our friend, Rebecca Gardner, from Houses and Parties,( our go to website for any party inspiration and needs) take on how to upgrade a standard ballroom chair. Using our Sister's Stripe with Lattice fabric in Blue Brown we created a loose seat cushion that ties to the back of the chair along with and pleated skirt and a ruffled chair back cover. These instantly upgraded a simple ballroom chair into the perfect finishing touch to Eliza's dining room.

How to transform a chandelier!
Eliza found this amazing wire chandelier while sourcing at her favorite antique store, Montage Antiques in Millerton, NY. Originally, this chandelier was black but she was able to spruce it up with a few coats of white spray paint. Using spray paint to update a fixture is an easy, quick, and budget-friendly way to give new life to a fixture. Eliza was able to completely transform this chandelier in an afternoon's time. PRO TIP: Make sure you let each coat dry before moving on to the next one to get a smooth finish! Also, don't forget about chalk paint which requires no preparation
