Behind the Seams: April 2024

Eliza with dog on Campobello Performance Sofa

Spring is in the air, and that brings to mind a lot of happy themes in my head—refresh, recolor, spring clean, putting away winter clothes, and summer around the corner. I am always happiest outside, so this is my time to focus on my garden and outdoor spaces.

At this time of year, a few new tweaks and pick-me-ups are necessary for the soul. I love to change out the winter linens and blankets for lighter coverings and colorful floral sheets. Similarly, new outdoor pillows, some " new" vintage wicker, and a new coat of paint on the porch floor are a must for outside.

Our winter-spring transition is even more exciting as we are heading home from tropical Florida to the New England Spring. I am excited to get cooking on my spring Connecticut edits and add-ons and also what we will be working on at the Summer House in Maine. Every house is a perpetual work in progress and this year I am going to upgrade my kids rooms to make them age appropriate and fun.

Stay tuned for progress reports and enjoy this fabulous weather- we have earned it!
