A decorative pair of early 19th Century Portuguese Rococo walnut side chairs.
With elegant shaped backs centred by finely pierced and carved splats, the crests surmounted by scrolling foliate detail. The shaped seat rails retain carved ornament and the chairs are raised on cabriole legs, united by stretchers. Upholstered in a neutral leather, and retaining a wonderfully timeworn surface and patina throughout.
Circa 1800.
