May has been an exhilarating month for me for many reasons. First, I have been luxuriating in all the products and photos revolving around our newest performance fabric—Bimini. The second highlight of my busy May calendar has been a revamp of our Litchfield space. I am partial because I live in the neighborhood, but Litchfield County in summer is hard to beat. Between the farmers markets, bustling events, and all the local activities, we have been exceptionally busy at the store. Our goal is to make it a destination for our clients to relax on the sofa and discuss schemes, design issues, and anything related to making their design dreams a reality. I have also been diving deep into new wallpaper prints, a product close to my heart. In my view, nothing transforms a room as impactfully as wallpaper. Many of my earliest memories involve being tucked into bed under wallpaper eaves, feeling that all was right with my world. Lastly, now is the time we can really start to enjoy outdoor living in my part of the woods. I have been eagerly anticipating the real warmth when my kids can play for hours, and I can thoroughly enjoy my outdoor fabric, furniture, spring cocktails, and fire up the grill. Whether it’s an outdoor terrace, front porch, or a garden with chairs, our outdoor rooms provide supreme happiness. Let the summer begin!
